Claire Anderson — Bio

Claire Anderson is a business owner and community leader based in Santa Monica, California.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the USC School of Cinema-Television and began her career in creative development at Walt Disney Studios. In 1998, she became the owner of The GasLite, a longstanding local business she continues to operate today.

Over more than two decades, Claire has built deep ties within the community—not only as a business owner, but as a civic participant. She hosted weekly town hall meetings that brought together residents, elected officials, and community leaders to discuss local issues and work toward practical solutions. She has also supported local law enforcement and community initiatives, including sponsoring the Santa Monica Police Department’s softball team.

Claire was previously active in Democratic politics, serving in leadership roles during a presidential primary campaign. Over time, she became increasingly concerned that partisan politics was getting in the way of solving real problems.

Today, she is running for Congress as a No Party Preference candidate, focused on accountability, practical solutions, and delivering results for the communities she represents.
